Before you can eliminate your stress you must get to the root of it. At the root of any kind of stress is FEAR. Fear is the root of all stress. To eliminate the overwhelming feeling of stress in any situation, find the fears at the root of it, and thoughtfully examine those fears. You will often realize that those fears are irrational or that you are fearing things you cant control in the first place. This will help you eliminate the stress freeing your energy and time to focus on success.
A common stressful situation that many can relate to is public speaking. Public speaking is feared by the majority. However to understand the psychology one must ask what really is scary about public speaking? Well when it comes down to it, the scariest thing about public speaking is a negative audience reaction. Now this negative reaction can be because of a mistake the speaker makes or can simply be the result of a rude audience, either way it’s scary. However upon further examination, a speaker realizes that they can’t really control others reactions. Fear of others negative reactions is irrational. This realization frees up a public speakers mind and energy, and allows them to focus on what they can control instead. The speaker therefore can now focus on preparing a great entertaining speech, giving it their best and not worrying so much about how the audience reacts. This is a quick example of shifting stress to success.
